April snow ranks up there with Oct snow. Bad juju

I dunno. Even in the Rockies, March and April have become much more fun than Jan to mid-Feb. Colorado and Utah are getting good snowstorms right now. I got powder turns at Crested Butte last week.

Keep in mind that I've skied powder for at least a few hours at Alta in April every year in the last decade. Even last spring after the wet slides closed the road for almost a week, the cold storm that came in afterwards brought powder that lasted 2-3 days.

Magic is calling for a foot this week.

Operations alert: There's more to come as we plan to stay open until April 6th/7th weekend before closing for the season with the high possibility of opening for powder days Thursday/Friday as another major snow storm has us in the bullseye next week with over a foot of snow expected. Should be a fun Final Four days of skiing next week before closing for the season as planned! Don't miss it.
