Skiing's Future

actually ignorance is dangerous goes beyond skiing and even global warming, look at the stats about COVID deaths, Red counties vs Blue, but I do mourn for the future of East Coast Skiing, things could be turned around,

I didn't say that, but if you look at peer reviewed science throughout the world we are on a glide path to changes in temperature and weather and frankly it's right on time or maybe even a little early, it of course goes far beyond East Coast skiing, look at Pakistan which has about a third of it's farmland just recovering from brutal unprecedented flooding, Phoenix Arizona has seen way more 100 degree days in the last few years than since temps were recorded, some into the 120F, is that the sky falling because it does track with what the scientists have been saying for close to forty years.
You can’t not see it happening out here. It’s wild. You can visually see ecosystems completely changing, it’s right in front of you . It’s tough as a parent, like…..sorry kid, good luck.

Ignorance is bliss I guess.
At some point governments are going to have to say no to relief funds. Maybe we can fire up Bernie’s printing presses?

Flagstaff is at around 60 million for post fire flood mitigation this year. We are a town of around 75k residents. This is becoming the normal for the majority of communities out here in the west.

I don't worry about things I can't control. I try my best to do what I can on an individual level, the rest is up to other humans.
I mostly do the same but anxiety still gets me from time to time. Generally I'm not affected by the news, climate change, politics etc. but I find this fascinating honestly. Still gonna go ride my bike and ski a little here and there.
