Powder days are overrated.

13 inches last night up on the hill after probably another foot or two since the upper mountain lift has been closed all week. That first lap would have been quality but we opted out. I just don’t have much left in me for standing in lines.

With a full maze it’s skied off by lap 2.

I seriously prefer packed powder, sunshine and ski on chairs.

Looking at the glass half full...they're helping subsidize your addiction ?

I’m not complaining. I’m really enjoying movies with my girls!
Awesome , bet you're worn out . I'm jealous lol . The older I get the more picky I get about skiing conditions but I look at this time of year as a must ski so I'm not fried when the good stuff comes ....if ever .

Nice.

We are worn out after skiing yesterday but not from the actual skiing, I think we are worn from trying to stay warm. It was a freezer.

Check out Cody’s hair. We were icicles. You couldn’t ski more than a few hundred feet before the rime built up on your goggles completely blinding you. The girls used up the hot water between dishes and showers, I had to put a hot shower off until 8 and I felt frozen to the bone until I did.

That first run was a little unnerving, with all the craziness, but once we got into that untouched powder, everything else was forgotten.
Listen, RA is nuts ;) (more accurately….a little spoiled? jaded?). Those who agree that powder days are overrated? Sorry, same of them! Were it not for this last sentence, Face, I’d say the same of you!

Honestly, bonkers as it may be…..the privilege, and the pleasure, to have to opportunity to be there for rope drop on Road to Provo (and out to Knucklehead), the (brief) post-traverse-madness knee deep face shots, that’s shit that can make a season, if not a ski lifetime (at least for us weekend warriors). I’ve been there, done that….had the pleasure of rope-dropping Bookends to the gate the next day. Skiing powder like that will never get old, sorry.

I say that as someone who has spent the last five years chasing storms out west. Despite whatever interim madness I may have experienced on any of those trips…..not a few long lift lines along the way, not a little traverse insanity….none of it can erase the fact that, simply said, skiing powder is glorious, not overrated.

Sorry, someone had to say it…..
