This is true, very true.
It's super easy in the interior of the woods though. It doesn't take long for a logging road to return to brush, saplings, etc.

The Snow Bowl, a defunct ski hill in Jefferson NJ. I do hill repeats there. Stark contrast between older trees and all the new growth since it closed in the mid 1970s.
