NY Prop 1 2025

One NYC voter that I know voted against it because they said it sets a bad precedent for retroactive voting.
Allowing retroactive “fixing" government agencies screw ups that’ll be funded by taxpayers for unknown property at an unknown price might just be something somebody would vote against.

Is it nuttier than the 18th & 21st US constitutional amendments on booze?
Had one to outlaw followed by a chaser to repeal.

Who knew the “Forever Wild” thingy🍺 in case law got a good start in the '30s with MacDonald at The Ho?
More to their story...
written in 2019 before the retroactive constitutional amendment fix was initially voted on by folks in Albany.
Some gems in the comments.

It's too dang early to be reading this legalese. An excellent share. My inference is that the writer would prefer that the Ho had remained wilderness.

I wonder what the writer thought of the xc trails that were cut for the 1932 Winter Olympics. The organizers cut three different routes for the 50 kilometer race alone.
