November catches ORDA by surprise again.

MM why don't you run for the ORDA board and solve all their problems
I think you have to be appointed by the governor. It also helps to have some skin in the game like owning a hotel in Lake Placid.
I learned a long time ago to stay out of the way of the political types. That said, they could use someone who understands what Gore is all about for skiers.

"It's not about when the lifts open on average, it's more about the earliest opening. Some years December is the best skiing of the year."

That's an impressive pair of statements. The first, well, math. The second, uh, man, that had to be a really crappy year.

As it should. Who is gonna pay more attention: someone whose livelihood depends on ORDA success, or a guy whose whole contribution is limited to pounding a keyboard in his pajamas?

Me too. In their defense, it's only about fifth pass I've tried to order on-line.

This is the first year I've bought a pas over the phone. Every other time was online. The person I worked with on the phone said they were having issues with the re-vamped website.

Absolutely.
Then you can be sure to stick ORDA with an $18million, underutilized, white elephant conference center built in the middle of Lake Placid within spitting distance of your property. Who cares if the only market is within driving distance? You get all the benefits and none of the costs.
Perfection.
