Not just Sunway. There's no way HP will be running before January, maybe not Sunway either. They are only one construction accident away from not having either on of them this year at all.

SKI magazine had Gore on their list of best in the East this year. (I know, lists, but still.) They specifically mentioned lift upgrades and the Darkside glade. So the best lift for beginners and arguably the best lift for advanced skiers won't be available for weeks at best, and they clear cut and dynamited the Darkside. What were they thinking?

Darkside not ready until Jan and how ready then? I'd assumed it both would be ready by Christmas.

IF I'm right that they need to wait 28 days before placing the top teriminal, then they can't use that lift until January even if they work through Xmas week. Do you think they can get out of town construction workers to work that week? My over/under is January 15, but only if everything goes perfectly.

Yup. But even if they place the terminal before that, there's no way anyone can ride that until the 28 days are up on December 17. That would leave less than a week for testing and inspections before the holiday.
