Yea, unload Bonnie, ski straight ahead, then herringbone to Wedelmaster. No need to take off your skis. As far as the vert of the hike, I have no idea. I only made that mistake once. :)
In that pic above I was really just following. You couldn't see anything, and I kind of got into the walk. I *think* we ended up in Beaver Pond.

I've done that hike, primarily for the entertainment value on a day when options when are limited. One time we did have a very nice run on the JFK but it was a big project to get back to Stateside.

Jay’s gonna spin Saturday.
It ain’t over till it’s over.

"It's Monday and getting hot. But.....
There's still a ton of snow sitting on the Jet and Haynes; too much to say no to. So, as of this moment in time (12:02p on Monday, May 9,) we plan on re-re-opening the Jet lift on Saturday May 14th for some sliding. What that looks like come Spin time...we do not know. Same goes for what Sunday might bring (if Sunday, in fact, brings anything at all.)
But know we're in for one more go."

22+23 SEASON PASS DEADLINE
OCTOBER 10TH

The countdown is on to the end of Tier 2 pricing on 2022+2023 Season Passes at Jay Peak. Secure your Pass by October 10th before prices increase. You won’t find a better deal for the rest of the season, so pull out the plastic and make magic happen. Or, if you’re Canadian and looking to purchase At Par, keep reading and we’ll walk you through that in a moment.

We have lots of price points and options including our specially priced U29 Pass from just $639, for folks ages 19-29. Securing your Season Pass by October 10th also guarantees your Season Passholder Appreciation gift, which is a hearty perk. To learn more about eligibility for this gift (but we’re not giving out any secrets, so don’t even ask), click through for details.

As always, Canadian guests can purchase their Passes at par, but must do so with cash or check. We’re happy to process payment by check if you mail it in, but it must be postmarked by October 10th to receive the Tier 2 pricing. Please note, online purchases will be processed in USD, and will not reflect at par rates, as you’d be using your credit card.

We’ll see you this winter, if not before.

My brother and I are hitting Jay for the first time next Friday (on the way to Le Massif). Any tips on best way to ski the mountain, parking, etc.? We like mostly flat blues and blacks, maybe trees if not too challenging.

If you are only going for one day, park at Stateside. I had a very thorough guide to JP for new visitors saved on the old forum, I'll see if I can find it somewhere. Short version, assuming they are open, check out the Derrick, Haynes, Vermonter, JFK, Green Mountain Boys, among other runs.

SBR best method to search old forum, use google.
