North side announced as closing at 330 on opening day (tomorrow) having me optimistic for Belt Parkway and Way Out (reportedly now with automated snowmaking) being open in addition to Hellgate on down.

How bad will the lines be?

Vail has shown they will run the snowmaking as little as possible

Wow. What a disgrace. I never check on Hunter anymore. It is not even in my thought process. I used to grab a handful of mid-week days every year.

Disgraceful, some of my best skiing memories ever took place on West in my twenties.

Hunter was my mountain, on monday I was tell someone while riding the Bell gondi, how cool hunter was..
Yes it was a zoo and chaotic, but it was cool and fun..It had a Platt type bar vibe...I haven't been back since fail took over...

I agree. I would have always chosen Plattekill but Hunter had a gonzo action park quality that was fun. It was fun to make fun of it too and would leave you just shaking your head at the insanity you would witness some times but it was never as bad as mountain creek in that regard and the west side terrain- that never seems to open nowadays- is awesome.
