I miss Hunter West. Trail 44 (Westway) is still one of my favorite runs on the East Coast (even though it has been a while since I skied it). I actually have the attached photo of Trail 44 on a sunny powder day back in 2013 up in my office and it always brings a smile on my face to look at it and think back to that day. Like other people on this thread, I don’t have much incentive to go to Hunter anymore. I did go last Wednesday (Jan 8th) to meet up and ski with an old friend. First time at Hunter in 4 years. Of course Hunter West was not open and Hunter North left much to be desired. That said, a lot of the runs on Hunter Main (i.e., Hellgate, East Side Drive, Minya Konka, Eisenhower), in my opinion, were in great shape. Not sure if I will go back anytime soon but it sure did bring back some nice memories being there!

Ha lot's of good (lack of) memories in the 80's, what a shit show! College buds and I would head up and crash at relatives in Kingston and after graduation a buddy ended up living in Ellenville. I do remember wrangling my skis on the commuter train from New Rochelle up to Poughkipsie on weekends, my buddy's Bota bag busting blackberry brandy and the bar being 10 people deep at the end of the day, that about it! Made it back a few times since but no real desire other than nostalgia...
