After the to Slutzsky brothers died (Orville died in 2013 and Izzy died in 2006), the next generation of Slutzskys really dialed back on snowmaking. They then sold it to Peak in 2015 who continued to reduce the snowmaking commitment. Vail bought Hunter from Peak in 2019. Vail has shown they will run the snowmaking as little as possible and less than Peak.
Lets hope they also get the snowmaking cannons hooked up to both water and electric and they get directions on how to turn the cannons on.
