HICKORY HIKES FOR HUMANITY

Every Saturday in April, the Hickory Legacy Foundation will be hosting Hickory Hikes for
Humanity, a fundraising program in support of the children of Ukraine. We have identified two
organizations to receive funding from this effort: Save the Children and World Central Kitchen,
both of which are currently providing humanitarian services on the ground in Ukraine.
The mountain will be accessible for hiking from 10AM until 2PM specifically for these dedicated
hikes. Each child participating will be provided with a Ukraine flag and a Hickory sticker to place
at their highest hiking point. We are requesting a $5 donation/child and a $10 donation/adult.
There will be different routes available to hike to the top of Pine Mountain and 3 rd Sister Peak,
which offer spectacular views of the confluence of the Schroon and Hudson Rivers and the
Southern Adirondacks. The café will be open for the purchase of lunch.

Organizations are encouraged to put together a hiking team and challenge others to
participate. Each Saturday, the team having the most participants will be recognized with a
wall poster in the lodge.

Individuals and teams can register on-site in the lodge.

Corporate sponsorship is available and we request that a representative complete the following
form and return it with your donation check to our non-profit organization:

Hickory Hosts Bands, Brews and BBQ

The Hickory Legacy Foundation will be hosting a fundraising event at Hickory in Warrensburg on July 9 th
from noon to nine featuring live music, great food and local Adirondack brews and wine. Music from
noon to 3 will be provided by the Hillbilly Sound Machine with lunch available. Listen to Had the Radish
while you check out our new Johnny B’s gathering space with historic ski area and Adirondack décor or
check out our new 12 miles of hiking trails. Views of the southern Adirondacks, Green Mountains and
the confluence of the Hudson and Schroon Rivers are really special. From 6-9 we will be serving a dinner
menu with choice of Oscar’s brats, ribs, pulled pork or chicken breast grilled on our outside bbq along
with two side dishes. Music from 6 to 9 will be the Donna Tritico Band. To cover the cost of the bands,
there is a $10 gate charge, children 12 and under are free.

Our foundation is dedicated to enhancing the healthy lifestyles, educational and recreational
opportunities in the region and the environmental sustainability of the 3 Sisters Range. This fundraiser
will support the ongoing operational costs of providing access to the Hickory properties and sustaining
the required maintenance of the lodge and grounds. We have extended 24/7, year-round public access
to our properties for recreational use and we invite you to support our efforts by enjoying this day of fun
and frolic and stopping by anytime to take a Hickory Hike.

If you miss us on July 9th , we will be having a repeat performance on August 27th .

"It's supposed to be another sunny weekend for trail cutting. This weekend we'll be focusing on Ridge Run and Winfall. Improve your 22-23 skiing experience by investing a bit of your time, get some exercise and enjoy the views. Cafe will be open and brews on the deck are on us."
