did I miss an update from Hickory? I haven't seen anything on FB, Insta, or here.
Is this true? They do actually get more lake effect than Gore.
There’s this. They do actually get more lake effect than Gore. And Gore gets a least an inch or two a year.
I could clarify what I mean.Is this true?
I guess the Southern Adirondack Mountains don’t count?I could clarify what I mean.
I am saying OFTEN I see bands coming off the lake that are blocked by the Snowy Mountain range, the snow just disappears off the radar before getting to Gore. Maybe 90% of the time.
The doesn't happen at Hickory. There is nothing tall, that is close by and due west.
Interesting hypothesis... the Snowy Range makes sense as both Snowy and Panther Mts both receive copious gifts from the Snow Gods of the Lakes. But I just don't see anywhere in Thurman, Stony Creek, or the 'Burg getting more snow than we do here in The Town of Johnsburg.I could clarify what I mean.
I watch the NY radar a lot. Certain counties I do focus on more than others. Like Warren.
I'm not saying I know for a fact that weather stations or weather watchers are reporting MORE lake effect at Hickory.
