Gore Mountain Conditions

Cold day at Belle today. Most of it is open except the trails where they are making snow. Surfaces are firm but a lot of nice spots where snow blows in. It looks like it’s snowing but maybe that’s just the wind blowing the snow making around. At least it’s windy.

How is Gore today?

That’s the one on Sunway. Just about every skier on the mountain has to navigate it at least once. Generating lots of tuning business.
 
Anyone out there today? Have tomorrow off and was thinking of perhaps day tripping it. Thinking it might be real wind scoured though and might just stick to the CNY bumps since we got some snow.
 
Hmm I was there at 8:15 and my first 5 runs were on the sunway chair. They got AEll running at 10 after shutting the guns off and putting the chairs on. Windy AF until you got to the summit and stayed at Straightbrook. Hawkeye was cord...nice if you like that. Most of Chati was the same. The top, bring your pebble skis. Topridge was closed when I left and had to cloud out. 11:30 ish. I didn't notice if the rope was up or not on Darby woods. Sunway was scoured in spots. Rumor has it the day shift has the most employees missing so hopefully they get the sketchy stuff covered. They also said they open dark side glade...I didn't have my large pebble skis today. I will be at WF Friday...only because of work...cut to my signature
Kleetus I hope that helped. We have no bumps...maybe some woods if you have the right skis

Definitely helped. Looks like I'll be giving Song or Lab a shot tomorrow. Less wind. Supposed to get some snow. Lot less driving.

Now for the weekend. Whiteface? Sugarbush? Stratton? Until Gore gets more open on snowmaking or gets some natural think I'm going to stay away.
 
Of those three, although I would never go there unless I was given a pass, is Stratton. I am guessing south and east of here (Saratoga) is going to get more snow Friday into Saturday. I will probably get Gored this weekend. The winds should die down for Friday if that is an option.
