Gore Mountain Conditions

It's a bit odd they aren't reporting any snow today.

Also, they went from 6 to 8 on the first snowfall, but as far as I can tell never reported two inches.

I do like the fact that they are keeping a running season total.
 
In my somewhat 'hopeful' mind.... doesn't the next 7 days look very good for snow making? Anyone who was there today (Friday) care to report if they saw snow making? Again, in my hopeful mind wouldn't blowing snow on Lower Sunway allow them to build that all important base and open more of the mountain? BTW here just north of Saratoga we got maybe 3 inches. Looked to me like the Base at Gore did not do much better than that?
A reminder, If anyone is interested... Killington Cup races will be on national TV for an hour or so Sat and again on Sunday.
 
Today was interesting. The snow was incredible for November and so were the crowds. They sold out of day tickets today! The line to download was so long I just kept skiing. They were blowing on Sunway on my way down. Nothing else I noticed. Sunway to Quicksilver is close, They need skiing to the bottom. There was some poaching going on today
 
We need a lick of that lake effect to get us over the top (or bottom). I wonder how much snow making is on that last stretch of 3B, seems like that could be a challenge.
 
Sunway to quicksilver to 3B was a nice addition today, helped spread the people out slightly, Tahawus stayed empty enough most of the day and was very nice in the afternoon. The usual bottle neck on Quicksilver was in full effect most of the day, the moguls that formed after lunch were fun. Overall a fun first day of the year. It was cold and snowing most of the day, Showcase looked like it was ready to be skied despite all the snowmaking being on the Arena. My spidey sense says the mid week crowd may get to ride the new gondola cabins soon.

Probably not because they are still waitng on the hangers that are to be mounted on the top of the cabins to aid with Evac procedures. ❌ 🤷‍♂️
