Get it right!Once when I was at band camp
This one time, at band camp…..
Get it right!Once when I was at band camp
The longer the grass, the deeper the root. I keep mine cut high for better drought resistance…..which I guess is getting more impotent! You mow higher to keep the pesticide down and water less necessary.
I’ve been multi tasking watching the largest attended spectator sport show on earth.Does anyone fond it ironic people are clicking away ( using energy ) to lament global warming ?
I watched the first Planet of the Apes movie on Youtube last night and at the end Charlton Hestons ending scene quote . " Damn you , you blew it up" . In a later movie he blows up the Planet LOL . A little levity
My favorite sceneHaha! And I was worried this thread might turn ugly and political! Ha!
This is what makes NYSkiBlog so rad!
That being said….we are totally fucked. Enjoy it while we got it!
The power plants generate power much cleaner than small ICEs. In most places you can opt to get electricity from renewable power.Unless you're charging the batteries with renewable electric you're just moving the exhaust pipe to the power plant.
Mowing high is done for drought tolerance. I wasn’t implying that it allows you to mow less. Mowing should be done as needed not once a week.Mowing high doesn't really allow you to mow less, it still needs to be cut one a week.
Water is plentiful in the NE but it’s also a finite resource. In our town our aquifer is in trouble and there are laws being enacted to try and save it. The wells golf courses use rob clean water and pollute it. Those ponds are toxic waste dumps that are needed for containment.Water in the north east is plentiful, most golf courses irrigate with their own retention ponds or well water
There is lots of net zero development, so, no.A golf course definitely has less environmental impact than retail, commercial office, housing development or virtually anything else beside forever wild.
Wildlife gravitate to golf courses because of the open space. It doesn’t mean they thrive there. I hope you don’t eat those bass.Golf courses are thriving with wildlife and the ponds are stocked with fish.
Heavy chemical use is definitely not a thing of the past. Cigarettes are regulated too.Heavy chemical use is pretty much a thing of the past and what is used is heavily regulated.
What specifically is the problem with the aquifer?Water is plentiful in the NE but it’s also a finite resource. In our town our aquifer is in trouble and there are laws being enacted to try and save it.
