Been gettin some nice cherry maters daily.
Been pickin gallons of blueberries each week and there’s plenty of green ones.
It’s been a great year for the blues.
The pickin seems better than yoga though I’ve yet to try yoga.

In Pa. My Blues are done a week ago It was a strong year. They go every other year . Twenty years ago I planted little bushes, now there 8’ tall . When I get home from work it’s like “ Damn got to pick berries “ Lol not yoga for me . I give away a ton and try to get friends lined up to pick.
They were super tasty this year!

Yup,
Ours aren’t that tall. Older ones are bent over with berries. Got some older ones and some newer ones.
About couple dozen plants. A few different varieties but don’t remember what they are.
Give away most of em and do pies. Freeze some. Might try jammin.

While enjoying a beer at a family picnic over the weekend I noticed a couple of elderberry bushes in an overgrown field,
kind of early but managed 3 cups.
Syrup or something else???

The syrup is the best for fighting colds and flus.

I buy the store bought stuff all year and take some a few times a week. I have a waffle iron in the basement that I haven’t used for a while. I’ve been trying to cut carbs but that might be tasty with syrup/ vanilla ice cream.

Got a couple of these growing, I do these for clients kids, I tell them I have seeds that grow pumpkins/gourds with random kids names precarved in them, maybe bring one for the good people at Plattekill Harv? Side note, curved letter are tough, the o looks rough, I carve letters with razor when they are the size of your thumb, not easy to do because you can’t see where you sliced very easily until the grow more, I told a client who’s kids names have a lot of curved letters “too bad you don’t have someone named Al ! she said that’s grandpa’s name,

Do any of you have any experience with ultrasonic nuisance animal repellers? I'm dealing with a nuisance chipmunk that is becoming a threat to my zucchini plants. I want to try some alternatives to rat traps as I've already trapped 1 chipmunk but a week later also wound up with a bird in the rat trap which lead me to think I should transition back to have-a-heart traps. Has anyone used the ultrasonic repellers for smaller critters and had luck?

I think they are a scam, preying on the desperate. Never had any results with the one I bought.

My wife has plugged a few in around the property. We still have chipmunks and squirrels everywhere
