I was today years old when I learned that there were World Cup telemark races. Wow.

Platty tele fest Friday and Bell saturday

I heard a rumor that the Cascade XC guys have been bringing tele gear to demo here (Pisgah) on Tues. afternoons.

You wouldn't be completely limited to the ski hill. The woods still looked skiable (if you aren't nursing a bum knee, like me).

There are also some short side trails to check out. Perfect for getting those short radius tele turns sorted. Last time I was here (Mar. 2022) these were melted out but they skied well today (2/22/24). You should have brought your new sticks up @Peter Minde! Since they make snow, perhaps they will still be open come Tues. Time will tell.

I lack a boat. I could see doing this as part of a team. FWIW, the sticks I bought, they're not suitable for uphilling Whiteface. But there's a lt less vert at Mt Pisgah.
