Dinner is ...

Went to Milan for work once a while ago.
Stayed 6 weeks and gained double digits lbs. but it was worth every bite and sip.
Could’ve used this course.

Went to Italy in 1989 or thereabouts on business. (Employer being an Italian wine importer.) Ate 1 bad meal in 16 days.

Yup. Only bad meal eaten on that trip was when we went to MickyDees for some unknown reason.
It was still better than the stuff they serve here though.

Grilled salmon with dinosaur BBQ sauce and beans sauteed with basil.

Rest area on a Chinese highway in 2013. You'd think there'd be a noodle shop, but nooooo, McDonald's. McRat in southern China was unpalatable. Otherwise, great food.

The best food in the world is in Italy. We had a gourmet lunch at an Autostrade (highway) gas/food station between Rome and Siena. Every meal we had during our 10 days in Italy was excellent.
Insane.

My favorite. Love Tuscany. Monteriggione, so awesome.

Never forget being in this tiny wine store with bottle of the awesome local wine for $3 next to the Ernest and Julio Gallo for $50 with an "IMPORTED!" sign next to it. WTFF

At the place I went to consult, folks made there own Limoncello and they had other flavors than lemon.
Potent elixirs. Clever folks.

Getting used to meals lasting hours and restaurants not opening till 7 or later took some getting used to. But it was a good used to.
At work lunch hour was a couple hours and they served wine in the cafeteria. Ya could order yer pasta and veggies any way ya wanted. Twas free for folks.
