I was visiting family in Rome and we went to a tiny restaurant up near the Spanish Steps. 25 extended family members, we took over the whole place.

EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of my relatives ordered the SAME pasta dish. All of them. I went with it. No idea what it was but it was awesome.

Getting used to meals lasting hours and restaurants not opening till 7 or later took some getting used to. But it was a good used to.
At work lunch hour was a couple hours and they served wine in the cafeteria. Ya could order yer pasta and veggies any way ya wanted. Twas free for folks.

i loved there life style. eating late, slowing down the pace was awesome. the table wine did not suck either. can't wait to go back
