What night of the week did you go? Did it seem like mostly regulars with their own gear?

Definitely more fun being with someone else. I doubt I would go often solo if I lived as close as you do. That said, I'll probably get a 6-pack before I meet up with friends again. Not having to pick a check-in time gives more flexibility since a timed ticket can't be changed. Since the 6-pack is good for 12 months, not too hard to do better than break even by adding a day at Big SNOW when I'm heading up north for other reasons.

Technically it's sidecountry, access was recently improved. Bring your asphalt skis.

That's awful; I still don't understand how it happened. Also, those emergency vehicles must have ample legroom to accommodate the clown shoes that the drivers wear. Fugly.
