Belleayre Conditions

Back at it today for more and made a point to take some photos. Intentionally rode every open trail because I've never really tried to and it was pretty much the entire mountain other than Deer Run.

12:30 to 4:30 for me today, conditions were great all day aside from last run on Peekamoose which had some exposed ice. Like yesterday Lower Winnisook and Tongora were highlights along with Mohawk and Dot Nebble.

Snow was much less grabby than yesterday and also slightly more supportive for hard turns, an instructor told me that the morning had been a bit icy with lots of chatter. Despite showing up after noon I found a few runs with only one or two others tracks down them.

Decent amount of sublimation and melting going on over just a day so make sure you get it while you can. I think they will make it to April but probably by the skin of their teeth.

Called an audible and went to Belle this morning as the forecast for Gore today kept getting colder and cloudier and didn't think it would soften up after the freeze last night. Belle was supposed to be sunny with highs in the 50s. Well the forecast was majorly wrong for Gore so bummed I missed out on what looked to be a great day there. That being said Belle was good. Crisp first run or so but softened up quick. Clouds were slow to clear but it was sunny right around noon. I lapped bumps all day which were good for the most part. Mohawk had the best by far with good spacing and weren't VW bus sized with grand canyon troughs. Coverage was pretty good with just a few spots getting thin mainly to connect between trails on the traverses.

These kids were fun as hell, is completely unaware of how privileged they are. The talk about Chile like it's another ski area in NY.

Great skiing with @Bandit and Eric and the crew. Thank you guys for skiing the am.

Bumps under the Express were so much fun.

haha Yahoo had some canyons.

Great skiing with you Harvey! Saturday was great, bumps softened early and it was a full on spring bump fest. Took Sunday off to do other stuff figuring it wouldn’t get warm enough to soften the bumps but sounds like they were good in the afternoon. I’m sure it was hard as a rock today.
