Belleayre Conditions

The old timers are smart. They all leave before the beer shadow kicks in. Last chair still fresh off the summit with no one around.

Belleayre was fantastic yesterday!!!

Zero ice!! All groomed and ungroomed fluffy stuff.

Lots of space, no real crowds. Instructor was very good.

I shall return!!

Interesting views driving through the Catskills to get there. Like time for some people has stood still.

One big compliment for Belle - at least one day they had a lot open and were blowing on it.

Some years ago if they were blowing in any way shape or form, the trail was closed.

Day 4 and the best day from a conditions perspective so far this year. The full fire power of the snow making system seemed to be on display today. Temps hovered in the mid teens, snow was very grippy and lots of very high quality soft ungroomed manmade snow everywhere. Rode 9-3 and crowds seemed manageable that whole time aside from a small stretch around 10am at the gondola.

I agree. Today was our best day of the season. Lots of soft manmade snow, fun whales and blue skies. Everything in the middle of the mountain around Lift 7 skied well. We lapped Goat Path to Lower Yahoo repeatedly. Onteora was excellent too. Avoided the gondola completely and never waited more than a minute even though it was sold out today.

My only gripe is there were lots of snowboarders going on stuff that was too steep for them and scraping off all the snow.
