Belleayre Conditions

One of the reasons #7 is a great option on busy days is because it‘s a pain in the ass to get to from the far East side Blue trails. Once they make it completely accessible that all goes away.

Another brother.

I always marvel at the reverence for skiers who climb thousand of feet of vert for fresh turns, but then if you have to skate to get to Burnt Ridge or get any real exercise in bounds, the boos rain down.

I remember skiing in Switzerland, one of the primary lifts out of the base require 20 herringbone steps to access. Skiers just did it. No whining, in English anyway.

On non busy days a detachable will make lapping Yahoo a lot faster though. I don't completely hate the idea.

It is supposed to be replaced by a high speed quad, and there will be a skier bridge over the parking lot. This seems like overkill for what's not really the main lift, but I'll withhold further judgement until it starts being built. I'm pretty sure it's not happening in 2023. ORDA's 2023 lifts are Bear Den to mid at Whiteface, Bear Cub at Gore, and Hudson at Gore.

The Overlook parking area is Belleayre's achilles heal, its almost like it was built before the bottom of the mountain was built... a bridge to connect the entire middle of the mountain is a bandaid fix. Knocking out the Longhouse Lodge and cutting trail to connect Algonquin and Expressway right into Area 15 and Chinook where the lot currently sits would be ideal. Then stick the base of the new quad at the bottom of where Area 15 and Chinook end, this would remove just about any and all weirdness to how Belleayre flows.
