Bad Wipeout

i rarely turn them lose anymore. if i do its usually on showcase. i always fear that patch of ice
Showcase has lots of rollers that late in the day can get icy in spots. Echo is wider, no lift supports in the middle of the trail and has orange fences to keep skiers from banging into trees. It’s where they actually do the races. This is not an endorsement for out of control skiing, just sayin.

Showcase is awesome. All those steps, short steep pitches followed by flatter sections.

Last week at Plattekill I was ripping down the line of fixed snow guns on Northface. Always a little risky, but so hard to resist.

The snow under the second to last gun LOOKED exactly like all the rest of it, deep and soft. But no, it was a few inches of fluff on top of some big burbling ice. Maybe from draining the line?

I'll spare you the pic of my ugly purple thumb.
Harv never thanked you for running point. Otherwise it would of been me or Scottski who plowed into that ice bank. Not really sure what to call the formation of ice that took you down
