ORDA's Biggest Mistakes

It's unbelievable that, in an organization as large and labor intensive as ORDA, you can get to the level of manager or even VP without having even a rudimentary knowledge of the rules and tactics for dealing with the union.
He got hired at Belle & came from Huntahh when Peak Resorts Inc was running it.
 
Yeah and here's another example of great leadership; Auntie Em is now the Interim GM at Belle... (kinda like the Gore GM-ya know, absolutely no experience running a ski area). Can't make this shit up!🤷‍♂️ 🤫 🦴:unsure::poop::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Bruce was the snowmaking hero of Whiteface last year, and of Gore earlier this year, but what kind of manager is he? He was VP and therefore responsible for Gore operations from the beginning of the season. Why did he let it get so bad at Gore? Were the Gore on site managers not telling him the truth? It all points to ORDA management and leadership failures.

This is especially distressing because Transue seemed to be the only person in all of ORDA who knew how to make snow. Another example of ORDA leadership failure?

Good help could be hard to find in The North Country bureaucracies.

Just unbelievable.
Transue should have been fired for cause. I wounder if we will ever find out if he was fired for cause or was he just allowed to 'retire'. The other people involved - Lisa Morgan and Darrin Morgan (related?) should also be fired as should the so called, (unnamed) human relations employee accompanying Transue on an interview and telling the internal job candidate that they should resign from the union (which they did) in order to get a promotion. The interviewee did not get the job.

It is beyond shocking that this happened. This is exactly why we still need unions. It also goes to show how little supervision there is at Belleayre from Lake Placid as Transue got promoted after he was trying to stomp out the union at Belleayre. It does not take much brainpower to know that taping any private meeting without the people in the meeting knowing about the taping is wrong. A manager surreptitiously taping a closed union meeting is a whole new level of stupid. President Luge should resign or be fired as she promoted Transue.

The ORDA Clownshow continues to break new ground on a regular basis.
