Winter Weather 23/24

ski this weekend people..next system looks brutal

The NWS just came out with a promising watch for my neck of the woods: 5-10 inches, wind gusts up to 30 knots.

Since I generally get the same weather Magic does, I'll take it!

Stratton using the word BLIZZARD to describe this weekend's storm!?!?

Coming up from Westchester county on Sunday Morning to hit platty. Any better routes to take then the thruway with that section being closed? Also what are the odds the double spins with lets say 10 up top? Trying to see if its worth the time and the less than ideal drive sunday Am

Belle makes a lot of sense for Monday.

If I was feeling adventurous Greek or Song. Never been to Song, would consider if @JohnF would ski with me.

McCauley and Snow Ridge are too far. Not that much farther from Plattekill, but much farther from home at the end of the day.

Holiday would be perfect if it was open.

I guess I could see where it actually snows too, huh.
I just got home from being up at the cabin. Couple inches up there from today, for whatever that's worth....LoL

We need snow!

There are reports that the Thruway work has been delayed. Either way, the “Southern Route”, Route 17 to Roscoe and then up to Margaretville is a pretty drive and, at worst, only 15-20 minutes longer. If route 28 has a lot of traffic- which is likely this Sunday morning- it’s about the same drive time. I used Woodbury because it’s where the two routes would depart…

Looks like 8.5 or so at Belle. In my experience Belle ends up getting a bit more than they expect.
