Winter Weather 22/23

Leave tonight and ski Gore or Belle tomorrow, then hit Magic or Platty on Wednesday. Would require two nights lodging for max powder returns!

The wind is gonna be rough..
Hope folks don’t lose power.
Be careful out there.
Stay safe.
Hillbilly in NH weighs in.
Letitsnow ❄️ ⛷️

I'm hoping tomorrow evening won't be too bad. Sounds like the brunt of the snow is tomorrow morning, though winds kicking up tomorrow night.

But if the reports say roads are still bad tomorrow night then I'm probably missing fresh tracks on this one :(

Here in CNY it's looking like tomorrow, during the day, will be the worst. Only calling for 3" by tomorrow morning and 12+ by Wednesday morning. Some calling for as much as 18+ in higher elevations which is us here in the valley.
Be sure to clean your truck off completely, give yourself ample time, and drive slow.

not sure if any of you follow Weatherman G on facebook. he is a good follow. this is what he is saying

* No changes to the snowfall forecast. 10-18 for the immediate Capital Region. The latest 18Z 3km NAM just slams the immediate Capital Region - could be on the higher end *IF* that verifies. Highest amounts in the Catskills, Helderbergs, Berkshires, and Greens. Would not be surprised to see someone in the Catskills wind up with close to three feet when this is all said and done. By the time you wake up in the AM tomorrow - many of you will likely already have 4-8+ on the ground

I just finished skiing Mt van Ho. 4 - 7 inches predicted here. Center of the storm is south; Prospect is gonna get hammered. Come git some.

I was thinking of a day trip on Wednesday, but wind problems look bad.

Clearer roads and wind holds Wednesday would make for good uphill access, noted. Splitboard and powsurfer will be in the truck for this one.
