Winter Weather 22/23

I'm still NOT giving up!
We're heading out Friday to Foresport for our sled trip. We'll be turning this into a hunting trip, hunting for snow. Who knows where we'll end up. We have trucks, trailers, and money for gas. Let's ride!

Winter is dead. Far warmer and wetter than any season in my 60 years of life. In the Rochester area it's been like perpetually living at the beginning of April for the last three months. Stick and mud season.

Ok, that is the depressing note of the day. Not criticizing you Andy. But wow. I guess whatever truth value it may have is the depressing part.

NNJ and it is 42F at 9:25am. Its like we moved to Raleigh, NC.
It was -21F in SVT on Saturday morning. When we got back to NJ on Sunday afternoon, it was 53F. The high was in the 54F on Monday and 43F yesterday. These are usually some of the coldest winter days. The ground is not frozen.

Just brutal for skiers.

The Big White rabbits and a lot of other critters are still in season. Pony said her kid is looking for a raccoon to make a hat.

We could end up ice fishing.
I truly miss hunting snowshoe's up in the ADK w/ my cuzin. Nothing better than hearing his beagles ring through the mountains up there. I could listen to that sound all damn day.

The white ones don’t go down holes much and make a rabbit pie nicer.

Our snow is still fairly deep here and the snowbanks are 4-5 ft high but the good news is the snow loads on roofs from multiple,multi day blizzards has been alleviated .
