Temperature measurements are reading the speed of the molecules, ala a molecular speedometer.
That concept was easily reinforced in winter in Potsdam studying physical chemistry..
The molecules bang into each other faster when it’s warmer and visa versa.

Well I had to drop my son off this morning and used the Rivian in 4 degrees. It worked fine. It gave a notice that regen and accel were limited until the battery warmed. But seemed to drive just fine. You are all welcome for the beta testing : )

Cold air tries to sink. Could be a new record at the tippy top. It hasn’t been officialized yet.

-17 this morning in my world, but sunny and bright. The downside is that the water in the barn is frozen. While I was clever enough to put a couple of buckets of water in the heated tack room, my barnmate was not. He is off to the Harrisburg outdoor show, meaning that I will be hauling water from his mom's house to the barn for his horses.
