well said.... many shit years in the early 70's and through out the 80's..
I say this to people all the time. Sure there were really cold years with six foot high snow banks but I remember almost- zero- snow years too. When you read books about skiing history, there are accounts of hills not opening til January and missing full seasons occasionally pre-snowmaking.

True fact:

The reason that Stowe has the oldest organized Patrol is because in 1934, "Gore" didn't open until March 4.
 
Maybe Arctic ice melt will eventually cool down our temperatures and bring the snow back. :)

Yes, lots of revisionist history about the pre-snowmaking days. Instead of having mediocre ski days, you just didn't have any skiing.
