Why not fly into Sky Harbor, then over to Albuquerque? Taos is very high on my list for my next trip west.
Realized that Sky Harbor is PHX. I would be quite happy to do that. Have done it in the past. But there hasn't been a direct flight from RDU to PHX since the pandemic started. Hopefully it will come back some day.

Updated VT forecast. They said some sleet may mix in early Friday, otherwise this is going to be a heavy, wet snow event.

It helps know where every NY ski area is on a radar map market with county lines.

It's a investment in time to learn and memorize it.
I think I can still do that with Belle (which is about on the border of two counties. I think i am getting Gore down with my rule of thumb.

Sorry, my inlaws live in Scottsdale, so I've grown to call it what locals do. Definitely a safer route in the winter.

My perception of the the Meeker Hollow effect is that it channels wind up towards the mountain and Platte is just one big bowl to catch it all, not sure if that will help for this storm. Fingers crossed?
I have drove through some meager borderline storms to be pleasantly surprised that last mile or two of the drive

The wheelhouse got smaller. It that map verifies, going to be quite an interesting drive tomorrow night. Obviously I'm hoping for a bit of a miracle with rain in the valley pretty far up. Then I guess I'm hoping once I'm on 28 I get blasted?

Looks like Gore, McCauley, Hickory, West, Killington, MRG, Sugarbush and points east.
