I think the drive is just going to be too brutal for me to make it up to the Daks Thursday night.
This is on my mind too. Hoping this verifies and I can sneak in with substandard tires. I will be late.

I'm right there with you man. Just copped for Platt on Saturday with the woman and hoping for the best. Will make the most of it whatever the conditions. If I'm feeling real squirrelly I'll hitch a ride to Killington Thursday night with my Ikon friends for Friday.Probably just going to ski whatever falls in the cats.
This is why Taos is one of my fav areasI fly Southwest for ski trips. 2 free checked bags is a major reason why. But in general I've been happy with SW pre-pandemic.
SW managed to figure out a way for me to get to ABQ a day early. Won't be the first time that a trip to Taos has been impacted by snow far away from NM. My first trip the weather issue was in . . . Baltimore.
And that is the only way up the mountain. This is why Taos is one of my fav areas

I can't die driving to Gore in a storm, my wife will kill me.This is on my mind too. Hoping this verifies and I can sneak in with substandard tires. I will be late.
I'm not sure Mt. Snow will be in on the powder day Friday. You may be better off at Slokemo.Heading to Mt. Snow on Friday. My friend has epic and would like to hit it and he's giving me the discount pass he has. Will prolly go to Gore on Saturday or/and Sunday. I know they say no friends on a powder day but I still prefer skiing with friends than alone.
