Great day at Windham yesterday. Chairlift day #2 for me, on the skis 930-330.
4" overnight it seemed.. Trails 100% open. Overall nice lift layout for spreading people out, and way more ungroomed than I expected. Worth keeping an eye out for unmarked snowmaking stuff, gulleys, especially at speed. Furthest west side trails were great, run of the day for me steeper laps under the East Peak chair. Borderline coverage in the trees, some very cool flowy glades. I think I like the terrain here better than Belleayre.
No major lines (5 min max), and lapping the mid-mountain chair seemed best. Having IKON passholders limited to 5 days here surely has an impact on crowds. Worth mentioning my experience being 'a single' in the queue for base area 6 pack: No staff/direction beyond signs to mask, had to be very assertive to keep a random groups from forming, several instances I had to take action to not ride with 2-3 randoms on the 6 pack... tolerable for me, but not obviously good, and could be remedied by staffing key areas/times. I assume this kinda issue isn't unique to Windham...
