Where are you skiing this week?

I’ll check ski and fish on the same trip off my list. I’m staying in the Bear Cabin at the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge in Wilmington on Saturday. It’s situated on the West Branch Ausable River, so once the snow gets too sticky at Whiteface I’ll head over and don the waders/jump in a kayak and angle for some trout. I was reading a bit about the Refuge’s story, and how the DEC revoked their license to shelter animals, seems like quite the drama. Should be an interesting stay!

If anyone is going to be around Saturday or Sunday and wants to ski/drink/fish just let me know!

Heading up Belleayre first thing Friday morn. Couple laps and then on to Lake George for early afternoon. Sat morning, last turns of season at Gore. Watch the pond skimming, beer on the deck and then lunch at Becks!

The boys are going to Gore again tomorrow. I’ll get a report for how it was. I’ll be chasing the dang white ball.

Just got the report back from one of the boys who skied Gore early today. Before 9 to noon or so.
Said it was good fun skiing.
They didn’t do any bumps.
He said his best runs were Wild Air and Hawkeye.
