What is your most positive memory of skiing in NY?

I have 3 that come to mind.

1) Closing day, some year many years ago, jumping back and forth over the rope that was splitting the trail... you know how those ramps always get build up next to the snow guns.

2) One day, maybe 8 years old, skiing in the heaviest rainfall you could ever imagine with my dad for many hours. That was the wettest I have ever been but is one of my best memories.

3) Those nights where it is dumping snow and everyone goes home when there is still more night skiing left... and it just keeps dumping snow. The drive home is just as fun as skiing down!

You?

Top 3 would probably be these:

While Riley was probably the most off the hook, it did have one negative, a ski partner got hurt. Nothing permanently bad, but scary as there was no easy way to get to the hospital in that state of emergency.

WF trips with Junior staying at my cousins farm in Silver Lake and watching him jump off shit

Poaching Lower Parkway (WF) with a group that shall remain nameless. The powder was knee deep standing just below mid of Freeway. Absolutely no base whatsoever, to the point of feeling each of the streams that go across the trail. I fell at one point and couldn't reach the ground to be able to push myself up. Best powder run in close to 25 years. I got a core shot that, despite trying to fix it several times, I never was able to fix.

1. Learning to ski at Alpine Meadows, Greenfield NY
2. Riding the Bear Mtn chair lift at Whiteface with my arm around my 4 year old - knowing that this won't last (meaning they grow up so fast and dad won't be cool anymore)
3. Skiing all day at Okemo and on the way home hitting West Mtn night skiing (ahhh...to have young legs again)

First time skiing the Birthday Bowls @ Smuggs. Growing up a skier from CNY, I never knew skiing like that existed.

First time skiing Hell Brook off of Mansfield. It was cold, exposed, and deep.

First time at Tucks. It was steep AF, I was scared.
