I realize many of our forum members believe they are innately superior to southerners ...

I think people here know that I'm the number one Florida hater here, but it's not about looking down on Southerners. Most of Florida is not really southern at all, it's full old of people from the Midwest and Northeast. Those are the people I look down on.

I checked it out. Couldn't really find a"topographic" map of the state. You don't really need one.

Turns out Florida has the lowest high point of any state (345 feet).

I love to go to Florida, especially in the tweener season. I'll take warm, sun, beaches and beer over cold, rainy mud season here any day.

The Xmas/New Years holiday is also a good time. Usually, the skiing is crowded and the conditions suck. The blast of warm sun after the dark and cold months of November and December can be a life saver.

I have been going to FLA since the early 70's..
Like i said great fishing and a nice break from the grey..
And yes the MTB is good too, believe or not central Fla just north of Orland has rolling hills..
Problem is it has a highest percentage of mentally stunted people in the country..
