I think it would be great to be up on Whiteface for the eclipse. I was in Grand Island, Nebraska, for the 2017 eclipse and it was a top 5 lifetime experience, even in a park in a flat part of the world. You don't want to be in the partial eclipse, you want to get in the totality. The difference between 99% cover and 100% is shocking.

I don't think Gore is actually in the path of the totality. Also, the times stated on the Gore site are exactly the same as on the Whiteface site. One of them has to be wrong. Maybe investigate further if you want to see the eclipse. Holding a party for an eclipse that doesn't happen would be a legendary ORDA screw up.

It could be just another ya gotta go to know thingy . The eclipse is gonna happen. % of totality is another story.
Ya can find Gore on the map in the link Harv put up but it ain’t EZ. Haven’t looked for WF.
They give percentages for some places down to two decimal places if that tells ya anything.
