Titus Conditions

Looks CHOICE !

The thing about Titus is that despite the low angle the snow is almost always decent pow and the density is always low( especially mid week ) . Despite very great grooming they often leave half the trail width untouched so you can " play" in both worlds

Titus for many is often like your own "private Idaho " even on weekends .

This is not going to freeze well. Icy rain was falling by 4 pm at the hill. Good skiing on the actual runs with all the icy spots nicely slushed up by afternoon. The "Ambasador" stationed at the bunny hill told me that Presidents Day had been the busiest day of the year--overall though, visits are down from last year. I wished him many rich Canadians and many snow storms in the March ahead--I think we need it.

visits are down from last year.

From what Bruce told me this weekend, visits could be way down from last year and still be up significantly over any year before 2019. Last year was huge.

Opening day for the season is Saturday, they have been blowing snow for a week non-stop. We're expecting over a foot, so it should be a good day. We moved to the area last winter, and are walking distance to the lifts so we get out a lot.....

Hello everyone, I'll work on writing reports on Titus. Things were shaping up here pretty good before the rain. They are closed now, and will re-open tomorrow. We got maybe 3-4 inches on the back of the storm, and it's been flurrying since, not much accumulation, but you never know...I'm thinking the skiing will be ok, at least for the first few days of the week. They have done a lot of work over the summer, the new glades are trimmed and cleared very nicely, and the trails were all mowed and looking like a golf course. More tomorrow, let me know if you are heading up here.

Today is the day to be at Titus, Upper Mountain opened, for the first time, no grooming most of a foot on top, still snowing.

@Mike?
