The Whole SKI3 Frequent Skier Card Thing

Whiteface selling tickets thru Feb 11. That would seem an inappropriate thing to do if the anticipated being shut down. Tickers for most dates at this time are only $60.

Clearly there are big tech issues with Orda’s ticketing vendor - particularly for FSC. I have loaded four days on my card since I used my free day and it has worked...zero times. The first day and half the second they buzzed me through manually. I then spent 30 minutes at lunch with the ever helpful Cindy. She straightened everything out on my cards and also fixed my third day which I had already loaded but wasn’t appearing. That day worked ok thanks to her. Then I loaded today on my card yesterday - didn’t work today. Neither did my friend who also loaded his yesterday. They buzzed us through manually in the morning, but after lunch they wouldn’t let us through. Said they ‘were aware of people today perpetrating fraud’ (ya think?) and sent us inside. We left our skis by the AE2 gates, walked to Northwoods Lodge, saw Cindy, she straightened us out (again) and we walked back to the AE2 gate.

so we’re 0-4. Can’t wait til I try and use my free 6th day - I’m sure that will go smoothly:)

I just hope they are getting a credit from the vendor - anyone know who it is? Ticketing systems are deceptively complex and this one does not seem up to the task.

Whiteface is not planning to shut down. Where are these conspiracies coming from? Why would they be making snow and building out terrain if they weren't going to stay open. The only reason they would be is if they were prohibited from operating by covid restrictions. While this has happened in Ontario and some European countries, our governor has shown no indication of going that route.

There is no rhyme or reason with our governor. Can't have more than 10 people for Thanksgiving but can have 7000 for a Bills game. Policy is based on how the Emperor feels that day.
