The Ugh Thread

This is the one I still reach for the most. I remember my mother's horror when she saw the album cover in late 78.

Heard this the other nite and it was galvanizing, so unlike other AC/DC:

My wife went out to the parking lot after school on Monday to find someone had side-swiped her car, leaving some pretty significant damage. Ugggh, sonofa….hard to believe someone picking up their kid at an elementary school would do that and leave. Evidence that some people really do suck.

But the joke is going to be on them! My wife told the security guard about the damage and he said “let’s go to the video tape!” Yup, the school has video of the incident, including the woman getting out of her car and looking at the damage before driving off. We were also able to identify the woman and her address. All that information was provided to the police along with an accident report being filed. Police said they would be contacting her. I wonder if she lied to the police or came clean, we are waiting to find out.

Knowing the car, the perp, and the address I went and gathered a little evidence of my own, should we need it to pursue the matter further.

Hoping she came clean to the police and we will get her insurance info so we can file a claim through her insurance. If not….there would seem to be enough evidence for us to pursue the matter further and make her regret her decisions! Hitting someone’s car and leaving, lying to the police, those would seem to be decisions that would have more serious repercussions than just a claim against her insurance. We’ll find out….

by the the looks of that parking job she don't drive so good...I probably wouldn't be posting her plate# on line though :geek:

Not to totally derail the thread or anything ;).... my dad passed away in January and I'm in the process of sorting out his estate. And I get a voice mail on my mobile tonight, "My name is Paul and I'm calling about your father's estate. Please call me at...." No last name, no business name. Mofo called after 5PM. This is a f'n scam. Watch out for it.

Sorry to hear that Peter. Went through it with both parents in the last couple years. Scammers suck.
Thank you @Brownski. He had a good life. Took an all expenses paid trip to a French beach in 1944. Liberated a Nazi death camp. Rescued someone drowning in the sea off of Cuba postwar. Prolly one of the earliest divorce cases where the father got custody rather than the mother.

Everyone goes thru the loss of their parents. Just look out for these a$$hole scam artists that are out to take advantage of people.

Anything else I write about this guy would get me in trouble.

Peter I'm so sorry to learn of your dad's passing ......it is never easy when you lose a parent
