The Sand Trap: for Players, Hackers and Duffers

That’s what’s so great about golf, you can get your ass kicked by a 98 yr old⛳
We played on the same 4some team, won a few bucks, & I ended up with 1 less stroke than him that day. He’s fun to play golf with.

He shot a 2 over par, a 38, today on the front but didn’t play the back cause it got too hot. He was on the other team today and we won by 1. If he had continued we most likely woulda lost. It’s based on total team quota. 1 for boyey, 2 for par & 4 for birdie.

Getting out in the golf course today was just what the doctor ordered after spending Friday in the ER and having a rough day yesterday.

Shot a 39 on our longer course screwed up the last two holes or it could have been better but I'm grateful for the relaxation and the diversion.

The temps today were great 69 to 70°, no breeze dew points in the 50s couldn't ask for a better day.

Best driving day of the season averaged 226 yards on the seven drivable holes put the other two which are par 3's on the Green . Nice to see old friends out there too

We played the longer course by The River again early this morning ,the dew was still on the greens . Shot a 40 .

Wednesday I had switched to Volvix Power Soft balls..

My Bil when he was up for The Seaway Festival Week gave me a box and wow had strongest drives of the season Thursday

Well today was even better averaged 238 for the 7 drivable holes man these balls really compress.

Played River course again today. Everything but the greens is brown drier than a desert.

I've never seen courses in this bad a shape up here like this summer. shot a 41 my approaches today were NOT on target 🎯

Man we NEED 🌧️

We played The River course again early.Shot a 40 which I was usually happy with on This course BUT

Was a strange round was 1 under after 3 ,then only one par on the next six holes . Had 3 more par opportunities but misread 2 breaks on last 2 holes

Hey that's golf the course giveth and then taketh away .Thrill of the day 37 footer for a bird on a tough elevated and tilted green .

Haven't played in 2 weeks we went to the Inland Upriver course today for a change.

Played ok shot a 38 with 6 pars ,but two 3 putt bogies . Was on in regulation but screwed up my "read" of those breaks

But great to get out again

The LIV Michigan golf tournament came to town and it was only a 30min drive for me. Earlier this year I went to the Rocket Mortgage Classic. There is a much different vibe at a LIV event vs a PGA event. But I can’t say one was better than the other. They were both great on their own way.
