The Generations of Music

Here’s a vid for ya then Ripitz.
OK, maybe not that song and video, they both need some work. That guy rips though. I guess all that time in Aspen payed off. I like the snowboarder and skier holding hands. We could all use some of that.? Too bad no one does any daffys anymore.

It’s amazing how many conversations you guys have on this website about the most generic classic rock.
I hope your daughter becomes a huge classic rock fan and has pictures of David Lee Roth all over her bedroom ;)

I went with my mom once to go see Neil Sedaka. I never heard of him but I knew every one of his songs.

Can’t wait to hear everyone’s thoughts on Skynard and Zeppelin
It's stuff we grew up with. Personally I listen to a lot of different stuff. Everything from Mozart to Motorhead. Brian Jonestown Massacre, anyone?

Maybe that’s MCs problem (well, one on them at least :p), and why he’s afraid to share his own musical stylings…..I mean, did millennials have much good original music to grow up on, influential stuff?

There's good, more recent music out there... one just has to look for it.

For about the past year, each week my wife and I listen to albums from one year. The next week we advance to the next year and so on. We started with 1970, then 71, etc.... Even though it's been about a year since we started we're only at 1998 now because some weeks we just don't get to listen to much music so we don't advance the year. Also, we're not overly strict about it so if we want to listen to something from a different year, that's fine, mostly we stick to the experiment though. Anyway, I highly recommend this exercise, it's really fun to see the progression of music. It also gets you thinking about the progression of your life.

In other related news, what do you listen to while skiing? I know this can be a controversial topic but I admit that I listen to music while skiing. I especially like guitar solos while hitting bumpy ungroomed trails. I even made a mix this summer that just cuts from one solo to another. I tested it out trail running downhill very fast. I can't wait to ski to it!
