Looks like a ski tuning room/man cave to me.
I always thought that a good way to make some side money after I eventually move to the mountains would be a little studio apartment above the garage to rent out (either seasonally, or AirB&B).

Saw this listing the other day. House isn’t great, but 77 acres in that spot is cool. We could build a tiny house community & all be Harv’s neighbors:
