The Colorado Ikon Tour

I was too lazy to hike up there. Just zipped into the lower entrance and lapped from there.
Hey, whatever works! You can get some good laps from the traverse, although it’s not quite the same. Not nearly as steep, or aesthetic. Something about sitting on top of the world (the Rockies, at least) at 13,000 feet, surrounded by peaks as far as the eye can see….it calls to me!

Most hikes are a losing proposition from a time spent hiking vs time spent skiing perspective. However, it about more than the two minutes of turns…for me at least.

I have a harder and harder time with altitude as I age, too. Even when I lived there for a few months, walking up a spine at 13,000 feet was, er, difficult.
