Went for opener at Song and skied with the usual suspects.
A very pretty & great day. Conditions were excellent.
9 till noon or so.
Everything was open.
~5” new ❄️ on top what was groomed.
Newly opened trails had about about twice that.
Knocked the stuff off the chairs, to help the cause, on the ways up.
Back at it tomorrow.

A dang Zippatity-do-da-day early at Song.
There was even a few chair line sometimes. Lots of folks had bought the wicket ticket.
Things softened as the sun got higher. We quit skiing around noon thirty..
I asked the the usual suspects if this is what heaven is like after a dozen runs (Bali, Chopsticks, Ottos).
They both hoped so.
Might go back in the morning for some more fun.
We discussed corn season plans.
It’s coming.

Smoothy Otto's for Tuesday’s sweet corn. It’ll be ripe Monday but Song’ closed non-Holiday Mondays.

Song was a sweet spring skiing day yesterday.
Ottos was super duper. The trek over got slower as it warmed up.
Lots of folks for a Tuesday but only a couple chair wait, if that.
Heard some “Stay Outta There!”’s.
We ate outside Heuga’s later on.
Lots of snow still.

Crack of noon to 2:30 had deep cut up sweet creamed corn. Clouds & sun.
The boys got there earlier.
We figured Chopsticks was best.
Should’ve gone earlier but the forecast was for clouds.
Back at it Sunday hopefully.

Skied Song 11 to 2 or so.
Fast winter snow with 3” of lake effect the night before blended into what had been setting since Sunday.
Blue skies and then lake effect came in & slowed the midday corn harvest.
Folks will have fun with the diamond cutter spinning 4-9. It’d be a nice night for midnight madness and folks were suggesting it.
Ottos was real nice but Bali and Chopsticks were more worth lapping as diamond cutter wasn’t spinning yet.

Craziest thing I saw was when I stopped for someone who had his skis crossed next to a ditch on Sentimental Journey on my last run.
I asked if he was OK a couple times.
He finally replied he was “practicing skiing backwards but kept going for the ditch.”.
Told him to get mirrors and skied off.
We both laughed.
