Skiers: If You Could Move Anywhere... ?

Skiing Pinzolo is still on the bucket list & they’re having 2 World Cup Telemark competitions in a couple weeks.

It ain’t all fun and games. Think food too. https://www.campigliodolomiti.it/en/events/telemark-food-experience
On dialect: Decades ago, the owner of the Ca' del Bosco wine estate in Lombardia hired a young 'Murrican winemaker. Dude studied Italian intensively, and was blown away when his classic Roman Italian didn't get him anywhere.

Right where I am !

a 2000 Sq ft Dutch Colonial, Gambrel roofed nice piece of architecture thats all paid for
.

On the St Lawrence River, low population density ,affordable taxes ,90 minutes from Whiteface and an hr from several Canadian ski venues and Titus ,75minutes to TheTug ,.

The living is good and the people are North Country laid back .4 colleges and Universities with beaucoup cultural and athletic activities..

55 minutes from the capital of Canada and 30 minutes from several 1000Island resort towns.

Is it perfect,He'll No ,but it's pretty darn good
I'm quite happy in Saranac Lake so far. During mud season I want to go to the western ADK. Scope Canton, Potsdam, and elsewhere.

Furgetabout the Dolomites, which is more Austrian/Tyrol than Italian, because, just over a hundred years ago, it was Austria/Tyrol. But, no whoop, it's such a tourist saturated place that English is everywhere.

Pinzolo is in an autonomous province. I just wanna visit around there again for a bit.
The folks are nice in an amazing place. May be that’s why they are nice.

That looks nice. Not in the Sella Ronda circus. I lived in Verona for a month to ride the trains through the Veneto, and a few north south. I considered living there. Very middle class. Garda is very cool, and the biking ranges from flat to passes.

How big is that mountain?

It’s hooked to 2 others. (Madonna di Campiglio and Folgarida-Marilleva).

THE SKI AREA IN NUMBERS

- 156 km (97 mi) of interconnected runs
- 1 ski pass for the entire area
- 108 runs
- 4 snow parks
- 59 lifts
- 95% of runs served by artificial snow systems
- 850-2500 m (2800-8200 ft), the altitude of the ski area

It ain’t gonna be a day trip.

Looks cool, but not Dolomiti Ski, so, no Ikon, so no Benny right now. Benny not rich.

Day trip from where? Verona?

It’s a dang Epic partner but but lift tickets are cheap without it.

It ain’t a day trip.
Best to stay in the mountains,
Trento is the “big” city & Capitol.
Driving can be squirrely even if it ain’t winter.
Well, first, F Epic. Second, free is the best cheap.

Drove the Sella Ronda a few days after a snow. It's, yes, squirrelly in those mountains.

My vote is for Arabba or Corvara.
