Ski Waxing

d) Unplug and/or Cut the cord, & just heat heat old Brock Snyder on top of the woodstove whenever ya wanna use it for waxing. (easiest)
That’s actually a good idea. I wanted to heat my iron on an induction hot plate I have but the iron is too small. If I had to wax every week I’d get an old fashioned solid iron to use with my hot plate. That would be easier than fooling with a power cord. Cheaper than a fancy Swix iron too.

So as someone who spends too much time with old electronics...

Do Not Touch. The waxed wiring is only bad if you mess with it. It cracks and sheds and the such. Replace or get some heat shrink tubing. Prefer 600 volt.

Don’t forget the dang mice might want a quick chew, especially paired well with the wax.

Hmmm got me thinking if I have any knob and tube left in this old barn….
