POWDER (Actual Eastern Powder)
POW (Most Easterners would call it Powder, but not as light.)
New Snow (Can be almost as awesome as Powder, but never the same.)
Backcountry is often POW level at least, that's why you chase it

That second Titus call is on the fence. I skied all day and some of it was surely Powder.

I hope to break 40 days, first ever. This is already my best season by a MILE, and 40 would be the cherry on top.

Day 1 11/16 Belleayre Seneca - Dot 8 runs
Day 2 11/17 Belleayre do over 10 runs
Day 3 11/23. Belleayre- Fighting the crowds for some fresh snow!
Day 4 Belleayre 11/29 Short day, still counts
Day 5 11/30 Belleayre Lots of skiing-Beers in between.
Day 6 Dec 5th Belleayre No Gondi No Overlook Quad. Using the shuttle for fresh tracks.
Day 7 Dec 7th Belleayre Ski wherever you want to. Winnisook glade deep!
Day 8 Dec 14 Belleayre Better than I could have imagined after all that rain. Day 9 Dec 21 Belleayre
Some new snow, cold and no crowds.
Day 10 Belleayre Jan 4 Not bad after being ill whole Christmas vacation
Day 11 Jan 12 Solo skiing
Day 12,13 Jan 18,19 Gore Mt Sunday made up for disappointing Saturday.
Day 14 Jan 25 Belleayre Demoed some skis, Derek made some Tele turns. Few tips from pros and he tore up Belleayre run.
Day 15 Jan 29th Montage Mt. DR App near Scranton Lunar Day off. Stop and Ski on the way home.Hero snow and 40 degrees. New Salomon Stance skis! They rip.
Day 16,17 Feb 8,9 Whiteface, best conditions I ever encountered in the limited days skiing there. Everything open.
Feb 10th Day 18 Back to my fav Gore Mt , day after a 10 inch storm. Spring Skiing is looking good. Guns on!!!
Day 19 Feb 22 Gore Mt Sunny day great conditions-steeps and glades.
Day 20 Feb 26 Holiday Mt soft snow day and night hard to quit.
Day 21 March 1st Belleayre- warm in AM PM sleet and wind that’s when I packed up.
Day 22 March 9th. Belleayre firm conditions
Day 23. March 11 Belleayre Birthday Bash. Soft snow, sunshine and moguls!
Day 24 March 15 Spring Skiing at its best. Beer, Bumps and Burgers!
Day 25 March 23 Closing day Montage Mt
Day 26 March 29 Whiteface Mt Snow and Sleet, heavy snow- hard work but fun.

Driving out west in Dec, to VA/WV in Jan. Have senior passes for Wolf Creek, Taos, Alta. Plus a Full pass for Massanutten with an Indy Add-on. No Ikon, MCP, or Epic.

1-9: Dec 8-16: Wolf Creek Ski Area, CO
10-11, Dec 17-18: Taos Ski Valley, NM

12-19, Jan 5-12: Massanutten, VA (home mountain)
Jan 8: Wintergreen, VA, AM only - Indy (bad grooming, skied Massanutten in the afternoon for direct comparison)
20, Jan 13: Timberline, WV
21, Jan 14: Canaan Valley, WV - Indy (frigid, only lasted an hour)
22-24, Jan 15-17: Massanutten, VA (MLK weekend with a teen)

25, Jan 24: Snowbasin, UT
26, Jan 25: Deer Valley, UT (snowing all day, good tree/bump skiing following a local Diva)
27-30, Jan 26-29: Alta, UT (7 inches Jan 25, blue sky for 4 days skiing with Ski Divas during the TSD annual gathering)

31-39, Feb 6-14: Taos Ski Valley, NM (Ski Week Feb 9-14)
40-41, Feb 15-16: Wolf Creek Ski Area, CO (Pres. Day weekend, deep untracked snow in the trees after Friday storm)
