Questions for CNY and Greek Peak/Toggenberg Homies.

Listen I’m not saying I’m 100% committed to the idea. West Sand Lake, Cherry Valley and Peru (if I can afford a house boat) are also in the running
I grew up near west sand lake and now live near cherry valley. West sand lake is close to Western mass and vermont as well as modern amenities. Cherry valley is beautiful but close to nothing. Lot of state lands, snowmobile trails, some xc trails etc but no amenities. Also snow removal is often contracted out by the state to local municipalities so sometimes great and sometimes good luck... Closest mountain is probably Royal then maybe Plattekill but just guessing without a map check.

Right. West Sand Lake always looked kind of cool to me as I drove over to Jiminy Peak from the Albany area. I said Cherry Valley because when I was a kid my family used to rent a cabin by Belvedere Lake in Roseboom in the summer. Beautiful little, out of the way corner of the state in my opinion. Do you know if they ever rounded up all the bison that got loose a couple years ago?

They eventually got the bison. Lot of DEC and others were all over properties in the area looking for them. Amazing how elusive a herd of large animals can be. Apparently they did quite a bit of property damage as well. Used to be a spot on the side of the road people would stop a take pictures of them but I haven't seen them in that field since the great escape.

Apparently bison don’t like being contained much. I spent a few months this past year working outside of Zion mountain ranch and watched bison break out of the fencing almost daily. It kept the ranch hand employees pretty busy.

@Campgottagopee
Dya ever eat here? Pub’s in downtown Homer.
Somebody told me yesterday it’s the best restaurant around and is a nice place.

We go there quite often. It's darn good. Would be very surprised if you had a bad meal there.
